Curriculum for the Resource Center is divided into two categories including foundation training (CORE), also delivered as Charting the Course Towards Permanency for Children in Pennsylvania , as well as Specialized and Related training.
Guided by the implementation of a quality assurance process, and based on the Commonwealth's Child Welfare and related agency needs identified by Resource Center personnel through various training needs assessment processes, department staff members develop current research-based Pennsylvania-focused workshops that promote the implementation of the Pennsylvania Standards for Child Welfare Practice and Child and Family Service Review (CFSR) Outcomes. Department members evaluate Resource Center workshops according to guidelines consistent with training needed for Social Work licensure.
