Jody Price

Jody Price is the supervisor of the Northeast Regional team at The Child Welfare Resource Center, with responsibility for supporting Organizational Effectiveness across Pennsylvania. We work with child welfare agencies to support their efforts to make changes to improve their services for children, youth, and families. Jody joined the Child Welfare Resource Center in 2004 as a Transfer of Learning Specialist supporting practice and organizational work in counties. Jody's focus on child welfare started in 1992, she has extensive experience providing child protection and advocacy, providing mental health services including supportive counseling and family therapy as well as acting in the role of liaison between children and youth, mental health, and drug and alcohol services. Jody worked in a private provider agency and a county mental health and child welfare agency in Columbia County PA. Most notable is her time as an Outreach Counselor in the Berwick School District for Synergy Systems Group. In that role, she received the Martin Luther King Jr. Award for her work in diversity both within the school district and the local community. She continues that diversity work and support of local high schools today. Jody holds a master's degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of Pittsburgh.

Maricar Williams

Maricar Williams is a member of the Northeast Regional Team in the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Department at The Child Welfare Resource Center with responsibility for supporting Organizational Effectiveness across Pennsylvania. Maricar has over 10 years of experience providing customer service. Maricar works as a Regional Resource Specialist for The Child Welfare Resource Center which includes scheduling training, providing technical assistance and supporting transfer of learning for the Northeast region.

 

Email Elyse Coldren-Baker Practice Improvement Specialist:
Elyse Coldren-Baker

Elyse Coldren-Baker is part of the Northeast Regional Team in the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Department at The Child Welfare Resource Center (CWRC) with responsibility for supporting OE efforts across Pennsylvania by working with child welfare agencies in each county to help them make changes to improve their services for children, youth, and families. Elyse found her passion for social work facilitating activities at the Statewide Older Youth Retreat in 2006. She continued each summer until she was hired at Valley Youth House in 2010. She built a wellness program in the Adolescence Acheiving Independence (AAI) program focusing on trauma informed yoga, therapeutic art, and adventure therapy; encouraging and supporting staff to support youth through wellness as well. Elyse has 16 years of experience working with older youth in the foster care system and has worked directly with Northampton, Lehigh, and Carbon Counties as their contracted IL Provider. Elyse is passionate about continuing her career on the statewide level. Elyse holds a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University, majoring in Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. She continued to receive an education certification to teach K-12. Elyse returned to college many years later to obtain her master’s degree from Cedar Crest College with a Master's of Art Therapy. Elyse is passionate about art, wellness, and food! In her free time, she enjoys traveling, sharing time with friends and family, and is passionate about food and wellness.


Email Jill FerraroOlder Youth Specialist:
Jill Ferraro

Jill Ferraro is a member of the Northeast Regional Team in the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Department at the Child Welfare Resource Center with responsibility for supporting OE efforts across Pennsylvania by working with child welfare agencies to help make changes to improve their services for children, youth and families. Jill's dedication to the field of child welfare began in 1997 and includes experiences with private providers in the areas of foster care and permanency. Prior to joining the Child Welfare Resource Center in 2016, Jill spent 7 years working for the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN). She was part of SWAN's Legal Services Initiative (LSI) as an LSI Paralegal before being promoted to LSI Supervisor. Jill also worked as a Pennsylvania Adoption Exchange Coordinator for the Northeast and North Central regions. She advocated for waiting children and youth, supported county and private provider efforts to identify permanency resources and continues to believe that all children and youth deserve lasting and meaningful connections. Jill earned her Bachelor degree in Human Services with a concentration in Human Development from the University of Scranton.
